About DLN FLORAL CREATIONS

Hi! I'm Darlene Nelson the owner of DLN Floral Creations. Thought you might like a few tidbits about me and my little company. I've been in the floral business for 42 years(and counting) and it all started with a horticulture class in high school. I originally wanted to be an architect but getting an internship for a women back in the 80's was difficult. I switched gears and got my degree in landscape design which was the best of both worlds. I worked at Amling's Flowerland in high school and during that time I worked in the flower department. One of the designer's really liked me and started teaching me floral design. It just took off from there. I love being creative and making people happy, so this why I  love what I do. 

We're the best because we care. It's that easy. We treat all our client's the same and appreciate them all. Plus privacy is very important to us and we take great strides to provide that for everyone.  I would a say being in business for 27 yrs and counting is our biggest accomplishment. Also, being a woman owned business too. Staying up to date and going with the flow is another accomplishment. 

Getting to know our staff:

Darlene the owner and the main character of our floral world, is amazing. She cares for our whole staff and is always there to support and teach along the way.
 
 Jill our head designer has known Darlene for about 30 years. Jill had learned floral design back when she was in high school and continued her career at other floral shops but after about 15 years her and Darlene got back in touch through Facebook and the rest is history.
 
 Tracy is our website person & event assistant part time. She is very creative, caring and great at client service. We couldn't do a lot of tasks without her.
 
 We also have several freelance florist/team players that help with events. They are all wonderful and make what we do look easy and spectacular.
 They are Annabelle, Samantha, Julie, Caryn, Heather and Emilee.  

Buzz Nelson is Darlene's husband and is our spectacular driver, fix it man, create a prop man, and all around wonderful guy. When we need something built or need a new "prop" made, he's our guy. We couldn't do what we do without him. Plus he's a cutie!! 

Some community events we do are with Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry and Turning Pointe for Autism. 

We also will do various events/ help at other local agencies when they need something.  

We love flowers. We love people. We Sell Emotions!
